Headlight Savings Time

When Daylight Savings Time ends,
Headlight Savings Time begins.

If you have older halogen headlight bulbs, you may be seeing less than you should be. That’s a safety concern.

If you could protect the ones you love with a simple switch to whiter, brighter SYLVANIA headlight bulbs – wouldn't you?

HALOGEN HEADLIGHT BULBS DIM UP TO 20-30% OVER TIME

As halogen bulbs age, they actually dim. Up to 20-30%. With less light on the road, you’re seeing a lot less than you should be. And that’s a real safety concern. If you do have a burned out bulb, remember to always replace in pairs to ensure that you have balanced downroad visibility.

Here’s why headlight bulbs can dim over time
NEW HALOGEN HEADLIGHT FILAMENT

The surface of a fresh bulb filament is clean and smooth, which allows it to generate light that is bright and uniform.

AGED HALOGEN HEADLIGHT FILAMENT

Bulb filaments become warped and worn as they age. This creates hot spots and weak spots that cause them to give off less light, shine unevenly and eventually fail.
